Friday, August 21 at 7 p.m., Liberty Hall will show “Kimberley Jim,” starring the late, great Jim Reeves. Released in 1963, “Kimberly Jim” is the story of a ramblin’, gamblin’, guitar-strummin’ man from Dixie, trying to strike it rich in the Kimberley Diamond region of South Africa. Accompanying him is his mischievous side-kick; a man with a song in his heart and four aces up his sleeve.
This is a special screening of “Kimberley Jim” in honor of Jim Reeves’ birthday.
This event is sponsored by The Ranch and Tom Perryman. Mr. Perryman will be on hand and will speak before the film “Kimberley Jim” to share his experience of knowing Jim Reeves personally, having worked with him in radio and then as the vice president of Jim Reeves Enterprises.
“The movie ‘Kimberley Jim’ was a huge success in South Africa where Jim was a superstar. I’m proud to share my memories of Jim and the talented man that he was,” said Perryman. “He died too soon.”
Tickets are $7 and can be purchased online at www.LibertyTyler.com or at the door one hour before the show starts.
